Minced Beef Pie Filling |
I made a really nice recipe for
minced beef pie filling today. Used it to make 6 individual pies and a small shepherds pie. Made this tonight, I agree it was delicious.
Minced Beef Pie Filling Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 kg beef mince
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 celery stick chopped
- 2 carrots chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 tblsn dried chives
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup beef stock
- 2 tblsn cornflour
- Salt and pepper to taste.
METHOD
- Brown the mince and onion in a fry pan or sear slow cooker.
- Add the celery and carrots and cook for 5 mins, add the mushrooms and cook for a further 5 mins until the veg slightly soften.
- Add all to the slow cooker insert aside from the corn flour and cook for 6 to 8 hours.
- Stirring every now and then.
- Thicken with corn flour and use as required. Serves about 8
