Easy Beef Osso Buco is a slow cooker. Not the prettiest serving pic (my kiddo served up tea) but here it is my slow cooked osso bucco in red wine.
Osso Buco Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 pieces of osso bucco
- 1 bottle red wine
- Few sprigs of fresh oregano and thyme (from the garden)
- 6 shallots (peeled)
- 6 cloves fresh garlic
- 400grm mushroom cups whole.
METHOD:
Put all into slow cooker (osso bucco was frozen) and cook on high for 4hrs then switched to low for another 5hrs. Served with sweet potato mash and veges (as you can see I had started eating before I took the pic lol).
Meat and marrow fell off the bone and the mushrooms were juicy and the shallots cooked to perfection.
No need for any nastieness, each their own. The marrow isn't blood and does have a wonderful creamy texture when done in the slow cooker, takes on the flavour of the cook too.
